so we have moved......... well, sorta. living at the parents/in-laws for the time being as we begin to reno our little bungalow into a family pad for me, case, g and finner. we went through minor renos last year at our townhouse. then we got the bug, and with the arrival of the babe decided we wanted more space in a place we could enjoy close to family and friends, boat and farmers market. so we shopped around, found a little shitter that needed some tlc, did a little dance with the owners to get the right price and voila!

fin was the sickest ever after her spaying....which, btw, i wanted to NOT do. however, everyone else does it, so i guess.... anyways, she seems better today after a test and some serious antibiotics that last 21 days. yeesh. i had a rough weekend though - meaning i cried and cried and begged her to learn english so she could tell me what was up with her peeing the bed. what is it about the love we have for our pets. it is insane how much you can love the little creatures. anyways, i truly only want her back to normal for christmas. that is all i ask and i think santa heard cause she seems to be getting there.

i currently have no camera so pictures are minimal and must be taken on either mine or casey's celli's. anywhoo. i posted awhile back about the 12 buck tickets to the toronto symphony.......case got some and we checked it out wednesday. very cool! like we were in a 1950's musical or like fantasia or something. we hit terroni's too for some pasta-fa-zoo. yum. my man is a good date maker.

tomorrow we are hittin' the city streets to test drive our newly trained-on-the-leash-super-dog. i need to see how she interacts with the big city prior to our move. not that it will changed our minds if she sucks, but at least we will be prepared.....i have faith since she rocks.

so today one of my very good friends is getting married. i am very excited! my first wedding since getting hitched and all the feelings are rushing back. i said to casey last night that wish today could be our wedding day!! i want to do it over and over and over. sigh

so I haven't written in awhile. we got home from thailand and, as you may already know, added a little somethin' somethin' to the family so all my extra time has been spent with finni. case and i are totally in love with her and so surprised at the fact that she is so damn good. we have had it easy! i will post some updated pics soon. but for now some oldies.

here are some pictures (all out of order since it is 5am and although i am up and about to make breakfast i am still lazy.....jetlag) from the wedding. which was the best wedding ever. i am sure many people say this statement after the big day but ours really was;) very personal and emotional and it rained which was over the top romantic under the tent. i got to wear wellies with my dress and it all went by WAY WAY WAY too fast as everyone tells you leading up to the day. no matter how much i stopped myself to take it all in it flew by and i wish i could go back to do it again.

so my days are now filled with lasts.....the last time i see the little italian ladies at the dress store, the last time i have a wedding shower, the last time i go to the dressmakers to see my bridesmaids dresses, the last of all the running around, the last of this and that. never have lasts been so sweet though. it is sad, i am sure, for our parents. but these lasts mean i get some firsts. so even though it is sad to not be able to try my dress on in front of big mirrors with pins sticking here and there, i am really excited!!!

p.s. i am not talking about the weather yet as it seems to be too good to be true. so shhhhh. it is still touch and go.

wrapping things up....

....literally and metaphorically. the bridal party gifts are wrapped and i am tying up loose ends for the case dawg and i. this time next week i will be so excited i will be moving around like a crazy person i am sure. i will be waking up, with my new mum to be, getting ready to meet my exisiting mum and besties for a day at the spa....thank goodness (as if i have had it so rough over the past 2 weeks being on summer vacation. but it will help calm the anxiousness). I was up for, mmmmmm, about 3 hours lastnight losing my mind about not being able to breath in my dress and getting too hot and the garden closing in on me mid-vow. so i was wide eyed lying in bed going through all the possible disasters. however, until that very moment i was not nervous. although i am not a fan of public speaking....especially public speaking regarding your inner most heartfelts about the one you love....i am not scared. i have never been so sure of anything. never been so happy or shocked or overflowing with delight. those close to me know i can waver, but not at this. through all the planning and frustration i have truly enjoyed being engaged to casey. making everyone happy is impossible but at least i can honestly say i tried. so i continue to finish thank- yous, run around with my mum, organize the car for the boys, clean our house for guests and do laundry for packing. i am just trying to enjoy my last few moments of being a fiance, allowing myself to wrap my head around the fact i will be a wife in less than 10 days. case and i have been so lucky over the past year or so. our friends and family have been a great support and have allowed us to bask in the attention. so to those who read my little diary, thanks so much for loving us!

we are both really excited right now. our emails back and forth to eachother are hilarious. i just finished writing my vows.... wow. i told case and he is concerned at the tear factor so everyone beware.

anyways, it is the very month in which we are taking the plunge, tying the knot, exchanging the vows... you get it. when we got engaged 9 months ago, in london, we were staying at a typical budget london hotel. it was pretty much disasterous. we arrived after a late flight from amsterdam (which would have been earlier if we hadn't missed our original one) and we walk into our room which was flooded....and the only reason i new that, since the electricty was not working due to the flood, was the smell of wet dog. regardless, we were moved to the 4th floor, but o ya the elevator was broken and have you seen the stairwells in England?? they are the width of me so carrying luggage up there is wicked. anywhoo, get to our room and its doable minus the rock hard bumpy bed and the permantly open window (we were in london in the fall so imagine). of course i am now cranksters. the next day i go to the front desk to rage. i am telling the guy at the front desk off "....i didn't pay for rocks in my bed ......we have to eat in the basement...i have a gym membership at home so no need to make me carry my luggage up 4 flights..." so he is all full of crap excuses and then disappears under his desk for like a full minute, which is long when someone disappears under a hotel desk in front of your eyes. so he pops up with a bottle of wine. i, of course, am speechless at how obsurd this was. so making a long story short we got a bottle of wine out of it and we drank it last night, July 1. Cause this month we get married!!

not that i don't love what is going on right now but i half even three quarters wish i could have this day back......even if I was about to get eaten by a dino. eeek!
Case was reading this book on our trip in the fall, " a short history of nearly everything" and there was a chapter or so that took part at the natural history museum in london. so we went. it was one of the greatest museums i have ever been to. Plus we were both so happy at that moment in time. Anyways, i miss that trip like crazy and kinda wanna revisit it. i am feeling sad that time being engaged is running out. as hectic or stressful as it has been i am sad to see it end. i never again get to have this feeling and live it, only in memory. bitter sweet! i am aware we get to share so many new things on top of this, but it was just my all time favorite.

story time! so we found my engagement ring, in the rain and wind, of amsterdam. we were in a cool little area of boutique shops and we both kinda spotted it in the window of a jeweler - in my mind there was a halo of light on it, but i am sure that wasn't the case. sooo we went in and tried it on and couldn't stop smiling at each other. we decided to eat first. decisions such as these should be made on a full stomach. this brings us to the above picture. we found a sick little restaurant, that at one time was a house. we ate. case took this picture of me but i can't remember if it was before or after he said we were going back to said jewelry man. and now i am in countdown...23 days! but i still wish i could be in that restaraunt so i could relive a bit of the past 8 or so months. ok. doneskies. i will keep the next post lighter;)

so case and i can legitimately say "we're getting married next month". holy $*@^!!! i just cannot believe it. his sissy asked if i was stressed due to the fast approaching day and i have to say nope not really....i am so excited i can't stand it.

my mummies friends had a little garden celebration for me....and case came just in time to help open presents. a wee bit new age, i suppose, but i loved it. it was so fun to share it with him.

so... heather, and her mum, and her sis threw me a shower this past sunday. it was perfect. it did, however, feel like a dream. all of a sudden it was over and i definatley didn't get to talk to everyone and i opened my presents so fast i don't think my grandma got a good enough look. i hope this is all in my head and i wasn't really that rude. you kinda feel like you need to go fast so the attention that is on you does not last too long and you don't bore your guests to tears. i think i may need more practise at this....i will be old hat when baby showers happen as heather seems to be an expert at handling herself at these types of things;) we recieved great gifts and the food and company was wonderful, so thank you so much to everyone there!! here are a few pics....

so after a few hiccups, and a wee delay, the invites have been completed......

my second mum helped us address everything, then case and i lined and stuffed, then m&d QC'd and sent 'em off to the postman.

so it's official and i can't believe it. i can't wait either. i am just too excited, the day can't come soon enough.

i have my second shower this weekend and my nerves are cool as cucumbers. i think it's cause heather will actually be with me(sigh). she and her mumsie are throwing it. it will be nice and some of my girlfirends, that i hardly ever see cause we are grown-ups now and have lives in all directions, will be there.

baby swing comes soon. here i am asking her to hurry the "h"-"e"-"double hockey sticks" up.

O, also, news of the day!!!! my dress is in and so is casey's suit. so you will all be happy to know we WILL NOT be naked day of said nuptuals.

mum and i are gonna try and get some vases this weekend for my flowers. i want flea market finds of pressed glass....old is best. so we are flea marketing.

So this good looking fella got his suit! All you can know is that it is grey and he looks very handsome in it. I may or may not have felt a wee choked up, but he doesn't know that;)

Slowly things are coming together. Getting busier and busier, but that just means it will come even quicker! Case told me the other day he wished we could just get married already. I agree. Then I can be a Mrs. to the best Mr!

We went for our tasting, which was super yummy. Case claims he was still full in the morning. He says his favorite is the desert......mine is the mushroom risotto. O man, I want to eat both of them now.

As for Parties before the Party......I have lots of showers coming up and we have a Buck and Doe Casey's mummy is throwing. We will have lots of pics from those.

Still bored. About to shovel my way outta here but procrastinating is one of my fortes.

So, my little brother is standing by my side July 12, 2008. My best man! He pretty much is the best - my dad, and him, and Case all sit right in the same spot in my heart. Guess I have 3 best men, and the best part is they are all going to be part of the big day.

So my school finally got a snow day. Too bad I am about to embark on a two week March break, in like a day. O well, I suppose I should enjoy the life of a teacher while I can.
